Rules & Policies

The Yankee Classic DanceSport Championships is a National Dance Council of America recognized event and is run under its rules and regulations. All participants are obliged to adhere by the Official Rules published by the NDCA which can be found in the official NDCA rulebook (located online by clicking on the "Logo" to the right.)

Private Video Cameras are not allowed in the Ballroom. Yankee Classic reserves the right to not allow admission for anyone not adhereing to this policy. Yankee Classic also reserves the right to have security remove anyone not adhereing to the video camera rules without refunding admission price.

Both Professional & Amateur couples are required to be registered with the NDCA in order to take part in NDCA events. It is optional for Student/Student or Students competing with their teachers in Teacher-Student divisions to register.

The NDCA is an affiliate of the World Dance & DanceSport Council (WDDSC).

By clicking on "Registration" above, you will find all entry forms, accounting form, hotel and rooming list forms etc., and following that various policies relevant to the Yankee Classic, such as refunds and cancellations.

Cancellation & Refund Policies

All requests for refunds will be considered 60 days following the event to allow for the receipt and processing of the master hotel bill.

PACKAGES:
1. Cancellations in writing received by May 1st will be charged a cancellation fee of $125 per package.
2. Cancellations in writing received between May 1st & May 14th will be charged a cancellation fee of $250 per package.
3. Cancellations received after May 14th will not be refunded.

ENTRY FEES:
1. Entries received by the closing date and canceled before May 14th will receive a credit for our next years event. Credits are not transferable and must be used the following year. Emergency Health issues will receive a credit for next years event. Entries canceled after May 14th cannot be refunded or credited.
2. Entries received by the closing date and canceled between May 1st and May 15th will be charged a cancellation fee of $150 for non-recoverable processing costs.
3. Entries canceled after May 14th cannot be refunded or credited.
4. Entries canceled at the event cannot be refunded or credited or transfered to another student.

ADVANCE TICKETS:
Advance Tickets cannot be refunded for any reason.

CANCELATIONS OF ENTRIES AND OR PACKAGES RECEIVED AT THE EVENT WILL NOT BE REFUNDED OR CREDITED OR TRANSFERED.
